This is the first request I'm taking for my Reader x Country...um, request thing. XD I don't know what to call it! (BTW, if you guys have any cool names for it, lemme know, okay?!)
Ahem...THE FIRST REQUEST COMES FROM...~Shabby-Shoo! She requested a Romano x Reader, taking place at school, and involving skirts. Oh, you naughty girl!~
Wearing a mini-skirt to school in the middle of January wasn't exactly your smartest idea ever. Especially since your school was horribly stingy and only decided to turn on the heat if the temperature fell below zero. Or...at least that's what it felt like. Besides, you knew it was just stupid rumor. Otherwise, the heat would be on, because you were sure that it was at least negative-thirty in this stupid classroom.
Oh well...at least your legs looked killer. You didn't seem to be the only one who thought this, either.
“Psst! Hey, Lovino!” looking up from his notes with a bored expression, the brunette Italian shot a look at Antonio, who grinned obliviously. “Have you noticed something different about _____ today?”
“I...” Lovino cast a look towards her before turning back to his friend. “No. What? Did she get her hair cut?” Antonio chuckled and leaned back in his chair.
“Nope! Guess again! It's quite obvious, mi amigo!” rolling his eyes, Lovino stole another glance at _____ and tried to figure out what in the world Antonio was going on about.
She was pretty, but that had never changed. Lovino had had a crush on _____ for the longest time, ever since he had bumped into her in the hall and stuttered out an apology. Her (h/c) locks framed her face, almost like a halo, and her (e/c) eyes were fixated firmly on her notes, which she was diligently taking. Her fingernails had been freshly painted (a nice, baby pink color), but Antonio couldn't have possibly noticed that; he wasn't the most detailed oriented person in the world. She had donned a red, wool-knit sweater with white snowflakes patterned across the clavicle area. His eyes traveled downward, and then he noticed what Antonio had been talking about. His cheeks flushed slightly; what girl showed that much skin at school?!
“I-I don't see anything different about her!” Lovino snapped, his cheeks still pink. “Leave me alone and take your stupid notes!”
Antonio chuckled to himself again, taking another look at the pretty girl seated near the front of the classroom. He could see why Lovino was so enraptured with _____. She was cute, smart, and most of all, very sweet. Plus, she had quite a temper; she and Lovino were the perfect match, practically! If only that idiot could work up the courage to ask her out! You weren't single for long when you looked like that, and the Valentine's Day Dance was coming up alarmingly fast. Antonio feared that if Lovino didn't act quickly, _____ would be snatched up by some jock before he could get to her.
And even if Lovino was an ass sometimes, he could also be sweet, caring, and surprisingly charming. He could sweep _____ off her feet in a heartbeat if he just tried! And as much as he didn't want to involve himself in his friend's love life, Antonio couldn't see any other way of getting these two together.
Quickly, so as not to lose his idea, Antonio tore two pieces of paper from his notes and scribbled a message to the members of his gang, sweeping them into his pocket as the bell rang and swiftly depositing them into the appropriate lockers as he made his way to technology class.
“Yo, Antonio!” looking up from his lunch, Antonio felt a grin blossom across his face as he saw Gilbert and Francis strutting towards him. “What's this about setting up that Italian dude with a hot babe?”
“Oh! You got the notes then, good! I was afraid you wouldn't, Francis, seeing as how your locker is so messy!” Antonio grinned.
“Of course I would get it, my friend! After all, this is a mission of romance!” Francis winked. “Besides, who better to ask on the subject of the ladies than me?”
“Just because you plow through almost ten girls every week,” Gilbert laughed, slapping a hand to the blonde's back, “doesn't make you a master of women!” Francis smirked at Gilbert before leaning in closely and whispering back.
“Well, at least I have the courage to sleep with the ladies! Last time I checked, Elizaveta wouldn't even go out on a date with you!”
“H-hey!” Gilbert cried, face going red. Francis broke out in a fit of laughter. “That's none of your business! And besides, she said she was studying with Roderich after school at her house!”
“I'm sorry to inform you, dearest Gilbert, that they weren't exactly studying...” Francis said with a wave of his hand, sitting down besides Antonio, who was laughing at the astonished look on his albino friend's face.
“Wait a minute...what do you mean, “they weren't studying”?!” Antonio held up and hand and stifled his laughter.
“I'm sorry Gilbert, mi amigo, but can we put aside Elizaveta for a moment and focus on the problem at hand?” after taking a few deep breaths, Gilbert nodded and leaned against the brick wall his other friends were seated on. “Thank you!”
“Now, what is this I hear about _____ and Lovino?” Francis asked, waggling his eyebrows. “It seems he fancies that pretty lady, yes?”
“That's right!” Antonio said, gesturing for his friends to come closer. “But he doesn't have the nerve to talk to her! The closet he ever came to was when she asked to borrow a pencil in science, and Lovino stuttered out a response before just handing her one.” Francis snickered, but stopped when Antonio raised an eyebrow at him. “So, it's up to bring those two together! Who's with me?!” three hands were placed on top of each other.
“Sign me up!” Gilbert grinned. “I'm in!”
“Let's do this!” Francis yelled, a determined look displayed proudly on his face. “For Lovino!”
After about five minutes of planning and another ten to figure out how to get _____ and Lovino to run into each other, the three friends crouched behind a row of lockers to watch the scene unfold.
“Did you send the text, Toni?” Gilbert hissed. Antonio nodded and held up his cell phone for proof. A banner ran across the screen; “message sent”. “Excellent!” Antonio placed a finger against his lips and then turned back to the hallway, which was empty, considering the fact that school had ended ten minutes ago.
With an excited squeak, Francis flapped his arms and pointed frantically towards the boy walking down the hall towards the designated area. Shushing him, both Antonio and Gilbert broke out in wide grins, scooting a little further back behind the lockers to avoid any possibility of being seen.
Lovino scratched the back of his head, glancing around the area for any sight of his Spanish friend. Confused, he checked his cell phone again; sure enough, the message he had received said, “Lovino!~ Meet me by the gym lockers by the art room after school! There's something important I have to tell you!”
“Damn bastard...” he muttered, crossing his arms and scowling. “Never on time, just like always.” sighing, he turned around...just in time to catch sight of _____ walking towards him.
“Marie? Marie, are you over here?” she called, cupping a hand around her mouth. “Strange...I'm sure she said near these lockers...” looking up from her phone, her eyes widened at the sight of Lovino. “Oh, hello! Are you waiting for a friend as well?”
“S-something like t-that...” Lovino stammered, his cheeks flaring up. The next few moments were spent in awkward silence before _____ gasped and smiled at Lovino, something that caught him completely off-guard.
“Ah! I almost forgot! Didn't you lend me this?” she dug around in her messenger bag for a second before pulling out a pencil with the message “Rita's Italian Ice” stamped on the side. “Yes, I think you did! In science class, a few days ago!” Lovino nodded, holding out his hand awkwardly.
“Er...yeah, I d-did.” she giggled and dropped it into his palm, their fingers touching ever so slightly.
“Really, I'm sorry I didn't return it sooner, I just got so busy with planning the Valentine's Day Dance.” she said, deciding that she would chat with Lovino whilst waiting for her friend. “It's coming up so quickly, isn't it? I'm excited, but at the same time, I'm a little nervous that someone hasn't asked me yet...” she glanced up at Lovino, her (e/c) eyes full of hope.
Gulping, Lovino took a step backwards, his mind racing. What?! This was all happening too fast! First she was giving him back his pencil and then (accidentally, but still) touching his hand, and now she was hinting that she wanted to go to the dance with him?! What was this?!
But at the same time...maybe this was the opportunity he needed! Maybe God was finally answering his prayers and giving him a reason to ask her! And if she wanted him to ask her...and she was standing this close to him and talking to him about it...well, if there was a place and a time for asking her out, this was it. Taking a deep breath, he opened his eyes and stared directly in her eyes.
“U-um..._____...that is to s-say,” she giggled, and he blushed again, “if you...maybe want to...maybe want to go...if you want to--” CLICK! A loud metallic noise rang out from beneath _____'s feet, and both pairs of eyes were drawn to the grate she was standing on. An air vent. But why had it made that noise? They only did that when the air had been turned on...oh no.
WHOOSH! A wave of hot air shot up from the vent, sending poor _____'s skirt flying upwards...and completely exposing her panties to Lovino and the three perverts behind the lockers.
“KYAA!” she screamed, face going bright red, but not quite as red as Lovino's.
His mouth fell open as he caught sight of her black panties, made almost entirely out of lace. Lovino could feel his face grow hotter than ever before, and he could even feel the blasted heat spreading to his ears. Even though his mind was screaming for him to stop looking, he couldn't tear his eyes from the sight; but, then again, he was a high school boy. Panties!
“S-s-s-sorry!” he yelled, turning and stumbling over his feet and nearly tripping as he ran as far away from the sight.
Stepping rapidly away from the air vent, _____ smoothed her skirt back over her undies and stared after Lovino, her heart still pounding and her face still pink. She watched the retreating form of Lovino shrink smaller and smaller as he got farther away. Drat! she thought, stomping her foot in frustration and sending another panty-shot towards the three friends behind the lockers. She had been so close to getting him to ask her out! Damn air vents! Damn heat! Damn...damn everything!
With a sigh, she decided that she didn't want to wait for Marie any longer; today had been too traumatizing for shopping anyways (besides, it wasn't Marie who had sent the text). Sadly, she turned on her heel and tugged her scarf upwards, braving the winter winds as she opened the school doors and began to make her way home.
“So close...” Antonio muttered, smacking a hand to his forehead.
Hooray! This is my first deviation, and my first reader insert, AND my first request filled! So, ~Shabby-Shoo, I hoped you enjoyed this! It was so fun to write!
